Leather Care

Leather is a natural product and requires maintenance to stay in good condition. Most leathers should be waxed using a neutral shoe polish or leather oil. Frequent waxing will maintain the leathers durability and longevity. Saddles should be kept out of direct sunlight for long periods of time. Excessive moisture should be avoided.
Saddles that feature lots of dye work can rub and transfer dye to clothing. Especially for the first few rides. Avoid wearing light colored clothes or jerseys when riding your saddle for the first few rides until the excess dye has worn off.
